JIANYU

In the Western Pacific, there is a large area of extremely warm and barren water called the Warm Pool. There is one of the largest populations of bonito fish, which are most active in foraging on the western edge of the warm pool. There are two completely different water quality ocean current systems intersecting, creating a convergence zone around which nutrients, plankton, and small fish are concentrated. Originally, bonito, which roamed and hunted, could only migrate with the ocean currents as their food moved. During spring and summer, they come in groups and can be captured in various coastal areas.
